OATS OOTHAPPAM

     Nowdays people prefer Oats for a healthy diet.Since rice is high in calories it is being replaced by oats,millets.When you get bored of your regular breakfast do try this yummy and healthy Oats oothappam.

You can use capsicum,mushrooms,tomatoes,carrot,onion as toppings. If  you want more spicy sprinkle a dash of Idly/dosa podi.Baking soda can be replaced with Eno fruit salt.If your curd is not sour you can add few drops of lime juice.


INGREDIENTS
OATS                         - 1 Cup
RAWA                       - 1 Tbsp
SOUR CURD           - 1 Cup
BAKING SODA       - 1/2 Tsp
GRATED CARROT - 1/2 Cup
BIG ONION             - 1
GREEN CHILLY     - 2
GINGER                   - 1/4 Tsp
SALT                         - To Taste

STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Dry roast the oats and grind it to a fine powder.

Chop the onions,carrot,green chilly,ginger.

Mix oats,rawa,green chilly,ginger,curd,salt to a thick consistency like a batter.Just before making oothappam add baking soda.


Heat a dosa pan and spread the batter and top it with carrot,onion.Drizzle oil around it.

Flip it over and cook in low flame.

Serve it with chutney/sambar.

Serve hot.
